8vo: [20]-186 (i.e. 184) ff. (soiling on title, occ. spotting, cut a bit too short shaving the side notes, old annot.).
Contemp. vellum, ms. title on spine, blue edges, two later brass clasps (endpapers renewed, some stains, traces of the ties which were replaced by clasps).
Rare Grynaeus ed., the 1st printed in the Low Countries (1st Basel 1539), of Justinus' Epitome of the Philippic History by Trogus Pompeius, ill. with 5 woodcut full-page maps (Sicily, Greece, Turkey, Egypt and Middle East). It includes an introductory essay by Simon Grynaeus (1493-1541), his notes and an index. Printer's mark on title and on last f. Old ms. note opposite f. 1, grotesque figure drawn in pencil in the margin of f. 102 and small sketch reproducing partly the printer's mark at the end.
