Original letters or signed secretarial copies by i.a. Emperor Ferdinand III, Count Monterey (3), rulers of Brandenburg (1), Mainz (1), Baden (5), Luxembourg (1), Württemberg (3), Hessen (2), Bentheim (1), bishops of Mechelen (1), Bruges (de Rodoan, 2), Laon (1), Cologne (1), Trier (2), Münster (3), etc.
Alexander von Bournonville, Prince of Bournonville and 3rd Count of Hénin-Liétard (Brussels 1616-Pamplona 1690) was a Brabant military commander. He held the titles of Field Marshal of the Holy Roman Empire, Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece, Viceroy of Catalonia (1678-1685) and Viceroy of Navarre (1686-1691). He married Maria ("Jeanne") Ernestina of Arenberg. Bournonville fought for the Holy Roman Empire in the Thirty Years' War and then for Spain in the Franco-Spanish War (1635–1659). He was awarded in 1658, by King Philip IV of Spain the title of Prince of Bournonville (Pas-de-Calais). In 1672, he fought as Imperial Field marshal in the Franco-Dutch War. In 1676 he entered again in Spanish service and became both Viceroy of Catalonia and Viceroy of Navarre.
