Lot description
Copperplate, 15,2 x 12,2 cm, on recto "SAINT ANTOINE DE PADOUE", on verso "Chambon fecit", "S. Barbara" and Latin text (few light stains, some spots).
Interesting copperplate for printing 4 prayer cards of St Anthony of Padua simultaneously. The verso reveals it is a reused plate of St Barbara which was cut in half. The Chambon family produced religious prints for the guilds and brotherhoods in Avignon.
