6 parts in 1 vol., obl. 8vo; 6 engr. titles, 167 pl. (sl. browned, clear staining at some ff., 2 pl. rudimentary heightened in blue watercolour, 6 corners burned in part Artois).
19th-c. half calf (used, spine missing, covers loose).
Pocket atlas by the military engineer Beaulieu de Pontault (c. 1612-1674) who served Louis II de Bourbon-Condé also called "Le Grand Condé". Part of the series "Plans et profils" in 14 vol., also known as the "Petits Beaulieu". Our copy includes 6 titles, 7 tables, 2 sonnets, a "Chronologicum", a dedicatory poem to Beaulieu and a plate with coat of arms, all engraved as well as 167 maps, plans and perspective views: Flanders (79), Hainaut (32), Namur (8), Limbourg (3), Cambray (6) and Artois (39).
