A fine selection of nostalgic views in England (73), Wales (17), Scotland (27) and Ireland (33) by gifted young engravers such as Francis Chesham, Peter Mazell, William Walker, William Angus, etc. With parallel English and French texts. First published c. 1755 as "A Collection of One Hundred and Two Views" and later extensively republished. J. Boydell exerted a considerable influence on the course of British art. A real precursor of both the Victorian parlour album and the later coffee table book!
