Contemp. vellum, flat spine (cover vellum cracked, soiled and undulating).

Rare French 1598 ed. of Ortelius' "Epitome" with many maps replaced by newly engr. ones and 5 new ones added. Ill. with a world map, 4 maps of the continents, 99 European countries or regions, 14 Asian and African and the 5 new ones of Corsica, Istria, Croatia, Padua and Romania.
