Contemp. calf, gilt-orn. border on covers, gilt-orn. spines with raised bands, red edges (vol. 1: tail missing, vol. 2: joint starting to split, joints sl. rubbed, sm. defects to covers, some corners bumped). Large margined copy.
Second edition of this topographical work, profusely illustrated with large views of abbeys and monasteries. This ed. is particularly interesting from a topographical viewpoint because of some renovations to the buildings since the 1st ed. (1656-1666), the new pl. are oriented differently as well.
