Lot description
Watercolour, laid paper, 40 x 60 cm; titled on the lower left and signed on the lower right side. Underlaid by the edges on board (sl. soiled lower edge).
Very nice marine drawing showing sailing boats moored in the entrance of the Forth & Clyne Canal, crossing central Scotland between the Firth of Forth and the Firth of Clyde at the narrowest part of the Scottish Lowlands. Launder (1840-1920) was a draughtsman who painted also towns and cities.
