Impressive publication on French medieval tapestry which contains 16 explanatory pages and 100 plates in colour, mounted on strong Bristol cardboard. According to the Disclaimer, the work was originally intended to have 200 pl., but the unforeseen death of the author interrupted the publication and each copy has to be considered complete with 100 pl. The gap in the numbering of the plates should have been filled by the last four deliveries, but they were never published.
