19th-c. half sheep, marbled paper covers, gilt-orn. spine with raised bands, red spr. edges (sm. rubbings).

Only ed. of this Latin-Dutch Marian emblem book by the Augustinian monk J. de Leenheer (1642-1691). Ill. with the large engr. coat of arms of Diego de Villegas, Lord of Hovorst and 25 (of 26) full-page engr. emblems by G. Bouttats.
