Scholarly ed. of the main work of Arnobius (ca. 300), a Christian apologist. He wrote the 7 books of the "Adversus Gentes" to convince the local bishop of the sincerity of his new beliefs. With Commentaries and notes by C. Salmasius, Th. Canterus, G. Stewechius, G. Elmenhorstius and D. Héraud. Large engr. mark on title. Title in red and black.
