Etchings, ca. 14,5 x 9,5 cm, laid paper, signed at bottom left: "I. O. Berndt. Minor. fecit", German text in lower margin (ms. note at lower edge, 1 very light stain in lower margin).
Good impressions with wide margins. Good condition.
Charming portraits of modest figures by Johann Oswald Berndt (1736-1787). The pair depicts Johann Caspar Hertzer, the son of a clothmaker, and Marta Dorothea Looss, a market trader.
