First edition of this work against the "Recherche de la vérité" (1674) by Nicolas de Malebranche (1638-1715), French Cartesian philosopher and Oratorian priest. This book takes place in the long philosophical and religious controversy which opened Malebranche and the Jansenist theologian Arnauld (1612-1694).
