First edition of the translation of a guide to antique and "modern" Rome "Ritratto di Roma moderna" (1st 1638) divided in 6-day trips. Ill. with an engr. title and 87 full-page engr. pl. Woodcut coins in-text. With an overview of the most important buildings and monuments of ancient and "modern" Rome, reconstruction drawings and contemporary city views. Totti (1591?-1639), born in Cerreto di Spoleto, worked in Rome from 1611-1612 with the bookseller Martinelli before opening his own bookshop in 1639.
