Mod. leather decorated "à l'antique", blind-ruled spine with raised bands (rebacked, sl. rubbed). Good copy.
First edition of a study of golden imperial coins in Roman Antiquity by J. Hemelaers (1570-1655), with engravings by J. de Bie (1581-1650). Illustrated with an engr. title by P.P. Rubens (one of his earliest ill. titles), an allegorical plate and 64 plates with coins. Book dedicated to Alexandre de Croÿ. Latin verses in the prelims by i.a. E. Puteanus and J. Rycquius.
