4 vol., 4to: [8 incl. engr. front. portrait]-lxxii-380, [6]-427, [6]-360, [6]-480 pp. (sm. marg. tears in vol. 2, soiling p. 301 in vol. 4, spotting throughout).
Contemp. half calf, marbled paper on covers, gilt-titled spines with 5 raised bands, a.e.g. (corners sl. bumped).
Collection of chronicles, charters and other documents, including one facsimile of signatures on an act, on the religious troubles in French Flanders, composed by Coussemaker (1805-1876), a French musicologist, ethnologist, jurist and prominent defender of the Dutch language (French Flemish) in France. The first vol. contains a portrait of Coussemaker by Desjardins.
