Folio: [6 with engr. title]-(3-12) pp.; 105 pl. (missing according to the index: the double page with St. Charles Borromeo Church; 1 f. with 2 half-page views of "Impde" and "Immersele").

Contemp. vellum, blind-stamped covers, flat spine (tr. of use).

Very rare Dutch ed. (1st: Antwerp, H. Thieullier, 1694) published in the year that the editors Abraham van Someren and Arnold van Ravenstein collaborated for their Latin edition of Le Roy's "Castella et praetoria nobilium Brabantiae". With an engr. title, a letterpress title, "Aan den leser", a register, 34 full-page, double or folding plates, 138 half page views and plans of castles, manor houses, monasteries and abbeys in the province of Brabant, the "Schema Metallorum" for the identification of the coats of arms, etc. All very dark impressions engr. by W. Hollar, A. Perelle, Fr. Ertinger, L. Vorsterman and J. Harrewijn. According to the title, the towers of Antwerp and Mechelen are also depicted, the one of Antwerp being the most beautiful in the world, though it will be surpassed in length by the one of Mechelen, once completed.
