Engraving, 47,8 x 35,5 cm, laid paper, signed and dated at bottom left: "HG / A(nn)o 1594", numbered 3, Latin text in lower margin with name of author at right: "F. Estius." (trimmed to platemark at left, few sm. tears in margin, some sl. inside platemark, very sm. part missing at bottom left, 2 sm. spots on Mary).

Good impression and condition, mostly wide margins. Under passe-partout and gilt frame (not studied outside frame).

Large impressive engraving. N. 3 from a series of 6 on "The birth and early life of Christ", also known as the "Meisterstiche".
