Lot description
Lithograph in colour, 42 x 57 cm, wove paper 60 x 75 cm, signed and dated in the stone (sm. line in left margin).
Colourful depiction of a group of acrobats on a red background. Similar to an oil painting Léger made in 1954 (with the same title) present at the Guggenheim Museum. This work was also translated into a large scale mosaic at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne in 1985.
