18th-c. calf, gilt orn. spine with raised bands and labels (rubbed, head of vol. I missing). Cut short.

Extr. rare Parisian ed. of works by Marot. There is only 1 copy recorded in a public library (Paris, École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts), but the last number on the general title of this copy has been crossed out in pencil (1544?, 1547?). Vol. I contains: "L'adolescence Clémentine" (without title), "La suite de l'Adolescence" (with its own title dated 1544), "Deux livres d'Épigrammes" (1544); Vol. II: "Le premier et second livres de la Métamorphose d'Ovide" (1544), "L'hystoire de Leander et Hero [de Musée]" (1544), "L'Enfer" (without title). Ill. with numerous woodcuts in-texto, large printer mark on last f. Ff. ã2r-ã3v contain "Clement Marot à ceulx qui par cy devant ont imprimé ses oeuvres", dated 31 July 1538 (dated 1543 in the Parisian copy).
