First edition of this curious treatise by Millot (1738-1811), "chirurgien-accoucheur" to Marie-Antoinette and the Duchesses of Orleans and Bourbon. Ill. with a front. showing Adam and Eve entwined, and 3 pl. in bistre showing 8 figures, mostly human (and some animal) monsters. The author gives his recipes against sterility or malformations and a method to procreate boys or girls, as desired!
