Woodcut, 26 x 16 cm, printed on silk.
Under contemp. gilt frame (not studied outside frame). In very good condition.
Very rare, beautiful devotional image, printed on silk, showing the Robe of Jesus ("Heiliger Rock") which is kept in the Dom of Trier. Caption underneath: "Abbild. des H. Rocks Christi so von der H. Helena im Jahr 330. von Rom auf Trier gebracht, aber jetz v. Aubgsburg wieder hier den 9. julii 1810. angekommen. Und ist jezeigt worden vom 9. septem. bis den 27.".
