Lot description
Watercolour, various sizes.
Two loose sheets and one mounted on wooden board.
1. Old man in a library. Watercolour and pen over pencil, 10 x 10,3 cm, wove paper. - 2. Landscape. 23,7 x 31,5 cm, wove paper, pencil signed on the lower right. - 3. Horses. 27 x 40,8 cm, ink signed on the lower right (creases due to mounting).
Wiethase (Antwerp 1881-1965) was a Belgian realistic painter. He was a student at the Antwerp art academy and at the Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Antwerp. He was a member of "Als ik kan". Wiethase mainly painted scenes with horses.
