Drawing, pencil and black pen, 13,6 x 17 cm, wove paper (foxing).
Mounted on cardb. support, under passe-partout.
Nice drawing depicting a commoner giving directions to a huntsman. Probably a preliminary sketch for a painting. Moerenhout (1801-1874) was a Belgian painter of landscapes, usually animated with horses. He was an apprentice of Henri van der Poorten (1789-1874) and afterwards in Paris of Horace Vernet (1789-1863).
