Interesting collection with 4 small drawings of single figures. These works, probably a preliminary sketch, focus on the clothing of (Dutch?) commoners walking along the street. Portielje (Antwerp 1861-1949) was a Belgian genre painter. Much of his inspiration came from the fishing communities in Zeeland.
