Etching, 49,5 x 59,5 cm, Japan paper, pencil signed in lower right corner (marg. ink spots due to printing process).

Rare preliminary print (3 copies?) of a painting with the same artist and title. Vaes (1882-1958) was a Belgian painter and etcher. He learned painting and etching through his uncle P. Verhaert and was student at the Academy in Antwerp under A. De Vriendt. Prize of Rome in 1904. Traveled to Italy, Spain, Austria, Germany and Asia Minor.
