Stanley is "forwarding to [him] Lady Stanley's invitation to visit [them] at a Country House which she has lately purchased and then renovating". Charles Liebrechts (1858-1938) joined Stanley's expedition in the Congo in March 1883, before joining the colony's central administration in Belgium in 1889.
