First ed. of vol. II and III of this great work summarizing the "Histoire des voyages" of Abbé Prévost (Paris 1746-1789). Vol. II consists of travels in Senegal and Sierra Leone with chapters about natural history of Western Africa and local languages. Vol. III includes a summary of travels in Ivory Coast, "Slave Coast", Benin and Congo with extra chapters about Hottentot vocabulary and natural history of the region.
