Drawing, pastel, 37 x 29 cm, blue laid paper, signed and dated at the lower margin "W. Muys, 1748".

A scene from Acts of the Apostles 22:17-19. Signed by the Dutch artist Willem Muys (1720-1764), who was enlisted in the Rotterdam Guild of St Luke in 1736, where he also became the dean. Mostly known for his portraits and biblical subjects.
