First edition of this historical work by Pagi (1690-1740). Pp. 217-271 of vol. II a large catalogue of books for sale by A.-C. Briasson, running a bookshop in rue Saint-Jacques from 1724 to 1775. Briasson was one of the publishers of the Encyclopédie.
