Large folio: engr. title, 47 (of 48) hand-coloured maps, mostly double-paged, mounted on guards (title "Pars secunda" inserted from another ed. and dampstained, folding map "Imperii Caroli Magni" missing, maps margins repaired).

Contemp. ivory vellum, gilt decorated covers with central medallion, spine with gilt roll-stamps, gilt edges (rebound).

Nearly complete section on France from the 1st Latin edition of W. Blaeu's two-volume atlas "Theatrum orbis terrarum".
