Lot description
Vellum, 65,5 x 65 cm, 78 watercoloured coats of arms (soiled, some stains, folded in the middle).
Genealogy from 1242 to about 1640. The oldest known mention of 's-Gravenwezel (near Antwerp) dates from about 1250. Our document quotes Wouter (or Walterus), who received this lordship in 1242 from Henri Count of Cuyck. In 1418, Gerbrandt van Weezel relinquished his title "van Weezel" in favour of "van Nierop". The genealogy ends with Mathilde, daughter of Barthelemy said Gerbrandt van Nierop, second wife of Jan de la Bistraet.
