8vo: [10]-466-[18] pp. (toned, some soiling and dampstaining, minor worming in bottom half touching a number of letters, front. margin frayed, torn without loss and strengthened, tear in K1 touching a few letters).

Contemp. blind-ruled leather, flat spine (repaired, def. at top edge of front cover, new endpapers). Complete copy.

Extr. rare London school ed. of Erasmus’ most popular work, with notes by John Clarke (1596-1658). Engr. front. (defective but compl.).
Ref. ESTC R27966 = Wing E-3191 [4 copies in UK, 1 in USA]. - Not in BB (cp. II:551:E-560: 1631 Flesher ed.), EOL.
Prov: Schoolboy’s scribbling at beginning and end.
