Contemp. mottled calf, gilt decorated spine with raised bands (joints splitting, tr. of use).
First and only edition of this religious and topographical description of the Archbishopric of Mechelen (Mechelen, Leuven, Diest, Brussels, Aalst, etc.) by the Mechelen priest and historian C. Van Gestel (1658-1748). Engr. ill.: 2 title-vign. by D. Coster, 1 half-page coat of arms of the dedicatee Thomas Philippo, 1 folding map of the Archbishopric of Mechelen, 3 folding views of St Rumbold's Church, St Michael and St Gudula Cathedral and St Peter's Church at Leuven by J.
