Lot description

2 ff. (ca. 3,5 x ca. 16,5), on vellum, ca. 6 ll. in 2 columns, written in a brown Gothic hand (versos part. erased).

Verses 473-479 // 504-509 (fragment 1, recto) and 483-486 // 511-515 (fragment 2, recto) of this text written at the end of the 13th c. in ancient French and in ca. 600 octosyllables. There may have been several versions of this text. Some versions are shorter than others. Our fragments are to be seen as a contribution to the reconstruction of the manuscript tradition of this text.
