Lot description
Broadsheet (ca. 30 x 19 cm), upper half with a large coloured emblematical woodcut (ca. 12,5 x 16,5 cm), lower half with Dutch text printed in Gothic type.
Good copy (soiled, a few tiny holes, very minor traces of use).
Extremely rare, no copy known of this broadsheet, printed in honour of Jean de Ligne, Count Arenberg (1525-1568). It lists the noblemen who accompanied Arenberg in October - November 1567 in aid of the French king Charles IX (1550-1574), and explains the large emblematical woodcut illustrating the unity and beliefs of the participants.
