Lot description

Folio: [130] ff., 62 ll. (light dampstains throughout, scattered wormholes in the text or the margins, margins of 1st and last ff. partly repaired, text of "diii" verso blurred, some ff. very slightly browned, some spotting at the end). Good copy.

Cont. vellum, spine on raised bands, sprinkled edges (small wormholes, "C7" (?) stamped in gilt on spine).

Collection of texts on rhetoric, including the "Rhetorica ad Herennium" formerly attributed to Cicero, with extensive commentary surrounding the text by Gaius Marius Victorinus. Reprinted with same quiring and page-contents from Saracenus's 1487 edition (BMC). The "T.Z.P." in the colophon and the mark stands for "Troilus Zani Presbitor" (ISTC and BMC) or T.
