Drawing, black chalk, pen and brown ink, grey wash, 18,1 x 29,3 cm, laid paper, unsigned (minor foxing).
Mounted on paper support.
Cornelis van Poelenburgh (1594-1667) traveled to Rome where he became a founding member of the Bentvueghels, the society of mainly Flemish and Dutch artists working in Rome. He is well-known for his drawings made during his stay in Rome.
