Contemp. vellum, flat spine titled in ink (sl. soiled). Very good copy.

Original edition of the emblem book of J. Baudoin (1590-1650). An additional part was publ. in 1639 (not present here). Engraved emblematical frontispiece + 67 intriguing full-page engraved emblems. Woodcut royal arms on title. "In some copies the engravings for emblems 33 and 36 ... are transposed" (Rawles) - as is the case in this copy.
