2 parts in 1 vol., 4to: [20, front. incl.]-261, [16, front. incl.]-213-[27] pp. (one single marg. wormhole in blank lower margin of the first 85 pp.).

Contemp. mottled sheep, covers with central blind coat of arms, gilt orn. spine with raised bands, red sprinkled edges (front joint starting to split, head repaired).

First edition in two parts (1st ed.: 1642) of this study of costumes worn by people in Antiquity by the archeologist Ferrari (1607-1682). Illustrated by J. Ruffonus and J. Georg with 2 frontispieces, 33 plates or full-page engr. and 1 in-text.
