Lot description
Drawing, pencil, 31,5 x 33,5 cm, vellum paper, unsigned (tear of ca. 20 cm at upper right edge, reinforced at edges, some small creases and stains).
Nice portrayal of three peasants, one holding an apple in a style that recalls that of Gustaaf van de Woestijne (1881-1947). With dedication and date in pencil at lower right "Offer à M. amicalement Carlile Too [?] 10.IX.1931".
