Illustrated with 10 plates and 10 illustrations in-text, all by Thomas Theodor Heine (Leipzig 1867-1948 Stockholm), a "Jungendstil" painter and caricaturist influenced by Japan, Art Nouveau and the graphics of Beardsley and Toulouse-Lautrec. He also designed the ornament of the boards of this edition. Hebbel (1813-1863)'s Judith was first played in 1841.
