1 f. (39 x 66 cm), on vellum, in French (seal missing, some passages underlined in pencil,contemp. ms. annot. on back).
Jan Jozef de Smedt (1730-1777) was professor of chemistry at Leuven University until 1760, when he was succeeded by the rising star J.J.H. Vounck (1733-1799). De Smedt then switched to the teaching of anatomy and surgery, as it is attested in the present document.
