Contemp. sheep (rubbed, def. at head and corners, joints starting to split), covers with gilt coat of arms within double gilt ruled borders, gilt flat orn. spines, a.e.g. Beautiful copy ruled in red.
Rare, monumental scholarly edition of Cicero's writings by Denis Lambin (1516-1572) with extensive indexes. 1st publ. in 1566, it was later enlarged with notes by Fulvio Orsini (1529-1600). Woodcut printer's marks on titles.
