Lot description
Etching, 30,5 x 23,1 cm, laid paper with watermark (5-pointed star); signed with monogram at lower right corner "TP" (slight horiz. crease running over centre, tiny hole at Jerome's beard).
Saint Jerome before a crucifix accompanied by a lion and three putti holding his cardinal's hat. One of Testa's finest large prints. Good impression of the 3rd and final state, with the address of de' Rossi.
