Very rare commentary on Psalm 39 by the Jena professor of theology J. Rosa. It was presented as a speech on the occasion of the "promotio Magistrorum" on 12 January 1563. A curious feature of this book is that it includes (F3v) "Errata" for the author's previous publication (Leipzig 1562). At the end a long (114 ll.) Neo-Latin poem by his Jena colleague Friedrich Widebrand (1532-1585) on the lunar eclipse of 9 January 1563. Woodcut decorative initial.
