Contemp. calf (rubbed), gilt spines with 5 raised bands (rubbed, sm. def. at heads & tails, joints rubbed & starting to split), red leather title labels (leather vol. labels gone), sp. edges. Good copy.
Third edition (1st 1754) of this interesting and anecdotal work on Paris and its inhabitants, by G-F.P. de Saint-Foix (1698-1776). Front. portrait of the author in vol. I by Tardieu after Pougain de Saint Aubin. Publisher's catalogue in fine of vol. 4.
