Drawings, various techniques and conditions.
1. Antique gate outside Rome. Ca. 1700-1740. Pen and brown ink with brown and grey wash, traces of graphite, 19 x 29 cm, laid paper with unidentified watermark (eagle), unsigned (some min. stains, some creases, otherwise in good condition).-- 2. Antique ruins with birds in the sky. Ca. 1660-1700. Pen and black ink, grey wash, graphite, 15,6 x 20 cm, laid paper with Dutch watermark 1660-1690 (Foolscap, Briquet: 1994), unsigned, ms. attribution on passe-partout to "De la Fosse" (sl. soiled at upper edge).-- 3. Ruins of the Palatine hill in Rome. Pen and black ink with black chalk, 20,1 x 26,7 cm, thick brown/yellow paper, unsigned, ms. attribution on passe-partout to "Berckheyde" (some stains).-- 4. Two men near a river in a rocky landscape. Brush and grey wash, 32 x 22 cm, laid paper with Dutch watermark of 1776 (Churchill: 1776), unsigned (paper thinned, edges sl. frayed, brown stains affecting the image).
