Contemp. marbled calf, gilt rules and tools on covers, gilt orn. flat spine (joints sl. rubbed), a.e.g. Good copy.

New ed. of the version of the German philologist and lawyer Johann Georg Graevius (1632-1703). Illustrated with an engr. title and a nice frontisp. by J. Robert, both printed in sanguine. Remarkable 18th c. miniature edition "(...) outstanding not only because of the finely cut type but also because of the engraved frontispice (...) and the attractive engraved title both printed in sanguine" (Bondy).
