Lot description
32mo, 7,6 x 5 cm : [44]-398-[2] pp. (1st lvs loosening, title brown., upper margin trimmed short occasionally shaving running title, sm. hole affecting last leaf).
Later brown grained morocco, gilt fillet on covers, giltruled flat spine, red edges, paper slipcase (rubbed).
2nd ed. (1st B. Moretus 1647, 12mo) of the Latin version of Ph. Chifflet (1597-1663?). Illustrated with an engr. vignette on title and a full-page pl. representing Thomas a Kempis visited by the Virgin. Some old names on title, ownership's entry "Jos.
